Sales Policies

 

1. All donkeys listed for sale on the “Sale Barn” page are considered available and subject to purchase at any time unless they have a deposit holding them.

2. A deposit consisting of 10% of the sales price will hold a donkey for 30 days, giving the prospective buyer time to make arrangements to come inspect the donkey (which we encourage whenever possible), arrange for a pre-purchase vet exam (at buyers expense), transport, and finalizing the sale. An extension may be made in extenuating circumstances, with prior approval. When the deposit is received, the donkey will be taken off the market and “Sale pending” will appear by it’s name on the website until the prospective sale is either finalized or dissolved.

3. The deposit is REFUNDABLE if the prospective buyer comes to inspect the donkey and chooses not to purchase it, or if the donkey becomes ill, lame, injured or otherwise not suitable for it’s intended purpose before the buyer takes possession.

4. The deposit is NOT refundable if the prospective buyer makes an appointment to come inspect the donkey but fails to show up and/or does not finalize the purchase within 30 days.

 

Deposits and purchases may be made via PayPal, cash, approved personal check, cashier’s check, or money order. All purchases must be paid in full before the donkey leaves our farm. If you have any questions about our policies, please ask. We strive to make all transactions fair and easily understood to protect both buyer and seller.
